- Offer Wall. Our application(s) may display a third-party hosted 'offer wall'. Such an offer wall allows third-party advertisers to offer virtual currency, gifts, or other items to users in return for the acceptance and completion of an advertisement offer. Such an offer wall may appear in our application(s) and be displayed to you based on certain data, such as your geographic area or demographic information. When you click on an offer wall, you will be brought to an external website belonging to other persons and will leave our application(s). A unique identifier, such as your user ID, will be shared with the offer wall provider in order to prevent fraud and properly credit your account with the relevant reward.
Who can see your information in the app.
- Your profile. People who use the app can see your profile, according to your privacy settings. When you block someone, you cannot message each other, and you do not see each other's profile or attendance at events.
- Events you go to. By default you are hidden: other people see only that someone is going, as an empty circle, without your name or photo. You can choose to be shown — as your default in Profile → Settings → Privacy, or for each event separately. The host of an event always sees the people who asked to join or are taking part, with the size of their party, so that they can run the event. If a host limits an event to members with a certain membership level, the host sees only whether a request meets that rule.
- Event chats. If you write in an event chat or a group chat, the other members of that chat see your name, photo and messages. New members see messages sent after they joined. After an event, its chat stays readable to the people who were members when it closed.
- Events you add. Other members see "Added by a member". Only our team can see who added an event.
- One-to-one meetings. The place and time of a meeting are visible only to the two people meeting. Notifications about a meeting show the other person's name, but not the place or time. Your private notes are visible only to you.
- Support chat. Only members of our team with administrator access can read your support chat. Replies are signed "Meet & Mint Support".
Share links. When you share an event, anyone who opens the link on meetmint.app sees a public preview: for an open event, its title, cover photo, date and time, city and category; for an event whose details are only for participants, a short teaser without the exact time, place, description or participants. When you share a profile, the link page shows nothing about the person: the profile opens only in the app, for signed-in users who are allowed to see it. Share pages are not indexed by search engines. Please note that messaging apps may keep the preview they have already shown, even after an event is changed, hidden or cancelled.
Service providers. We use service providers who process personal information on our behalf, under written contracts, only to provide their service to us. For the features described in this notice they include:
- Google Cloud and MongoDB Atlas — hosting and databases (London, United Kingdom);
- Firebase (Google) — sign-in and notifications;
- OneSignal — push notifications;
- Mapbox — maps;
- Google Maps Platform — finding places and addresses when you type them;
- Sentry — error reports (European Union);
- LogRocket, Inc. — session recordings of the mobile app, only if you switch them on (United States);
- PostHog — product analytics (European Union);
- Google Workspace — our email;
- Resend — sending emails from the Services, such as confirmation codes and reminders;
- Cloudflare — website delivery and security;
- Apple and Google — sign-in with Apple or Google, app store purchases and subscriptions;
- Venly — digital collectibles and payments in the Vault section.
Where a provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
In particular:
- Event chats, photos and participation. Messages in event chats and group chats, event photos, and records of who took part in an event, may be deleted 12 months after the event.
- One-to-one meetings. The exact time of a meeting and the times of your confirmations are deleted 24 hours after the meeting was due to start (for a meeting at an event, 24 hours after the event ends); only the day is kept in your meeting history.
- Location. We keep only your latest approximate location (or your latest exact location, while the "Show my exact location" setting is on). A location saved as exact before September 26, 2026 is replaced with an approximate one the next time your app sends your location. Precise readings used to confirm a meeting are deleted when the meeting is confirmed or stops.
- Analytics. Pseudonymised analytics records are kept for 12 months.
- Session recordings. If you switch them on, recordings are kept for about one month.
- Support chat. Kept while you have an account, so that we can see earlier conversations when you write again.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile and settings. The text, photos and files of the messages you sent in event chats and in the group chats of an event are erased, and other members see "Deleted account" and "This message was removed". Your support chat, its messages and pictures are deleted. Your open meeting proposals are cancelled and your private notes are deleted; if you had met someone, they keep the record that they met a deleted account on that day. Messages you sent in private conversations with another person, and in other chats that are not linked to an event, are not yet erased automatically: the people you wrote to can still see them. If you want them removed, contact us and we will delete them. The photos you added to events are deleted. Upcoming events you host are cancelled; events you added that someone else organises stay on the map, no longer linked to you. We may keep some information where the law requires it, or to deal with a report or a dispute that is still open.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at [email protected].
8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) if applicable, to data portability; and (v) not to be subject to automated decision-making. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section 'HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?' below.
We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section 'HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?' below.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.Account Information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your profile or privacy settings;
- Delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete my account); if the confirmation code does not reach you, you can ask our support team from the same screen, and they will delete it for you;
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at [email protected].
9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online, except that on our website we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a refusal of analytics cookies. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognising or honouring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
